Dartmoor Classic Cyclosportive
Participatory Event
The Dartmoor Classic is a non-commercial Cyclosportive, organised and run by the Mid-Devon Cycling Club. We are passionate about our cycling and share a vision to deliver the best Sportive experience in the UK. The Dartmoor Classic, now in its 5th year, has always been a sell-out way ahead of the publicised entry closing date and that has indeed been the case this year.
The Dartmoor Classic will be held on Sunday 26th June 2011 and promises to be even better than last year! Themed, "A Taste of Devon", the Dartmoor Classic 2011 has a 'Depart Village' at Kingsteignton that boasts live music and entertainment, stalls and refreshments (which of course includes real Devonshire cream teas). Coupled with our first class rider facilities and support, you can be sure of a memorable weekend in Devon for both you and your family, whether you are racing or just coming along to watch.
By unprecedented demand, the 2011 routes will remain the same as 2010, taking you out across the spectacular Dartmoor National Park and back through the tranquil Teign Valley to collect your well earned Dartmoor Granite Trophy (and a medal if your quick enough!). Routes are 100k and 100miles and spectators are urged to come out in support and cheer on the wearing cyclists.
