Dare your children bring you along on this ghoulish and spooky moorland evening stroll on Halloween – the Eve of all Hallows? We will visit the tombs, stone rows and ruined huts of the ‘old people’ of the Bronze Age as we stroll in the darkness across the moorland.

Owing to popular demand Simon is again putting on this walk. Come and join Simon Dell again on one of the longest day walks out into the very heart of the North Moors.
- DartmoorThis Course is designed for those who have some knowledge of map reading and the use of a compass. It is provided for Moorland Guides by Dartmoor Navigation.com, whose qualified Instructor will introduce you to more advanced map reading and compass skills, together with poor visibility techniques and much more.
Come and join Simon Dell on an evening stroll around Tavistock and its back lanes and alleys looking at the history of the market town, the legacy of the Abbey and the Dukes of Bedford and also listening to some of the darker stories of fact and fiction that Tavistock has to offer. Simon will also be looking at the Turnpike Roads of Tavistock. A gentle walk of about a mile and a half around the town, some uphill and uneven sections and steps. Dress warmly

A 2 day Intermediate level course concentrating on compass skills and strategies.An entirely practical course, assessed and certificated. 4 places available Each day will be 8 hours long.
Please bring waterproofs, warm clothing, stout footwear and a packed lunch. If you own a laminated copy of OS sheet OL28 or a Silva type compass (type 4 is best) feel free to bring them but otherwise these can be supplied.
