An historic creeper-clad 15thC manor-house, 5 minutes from A30, set back from the A386, down a long private driveway away from the hum of traffic noise.

The superb granite house has a magic all its own. It was once owned by the Hamilton family, reputedly descended from Lady Hamilton. Passing down the drive into the 4 acre grounds of sweeping lawns and flower beds, a sense of anticipation develops.

On entering the manor, the visitor is not disappointed and is greeted by an immediate feeling of warmth and comfort. The hotel and restaurant exude charm and elegance.

Proprietors, Jeff and Jacqui Mitchell, are committed to providing their guests with a real welcome. The 4-course menu changes daily, and Jacqui ensures that the quality and freshness of the carefully-prepared dishes are second to none.

Emphasis on the Best of British cooking is enhanced by continental and oriental influences. All dishes are home-cooked and use fresh home-grown and local produce, with vegetarian dishes a speciality.

A separate beamed inglenook restaurant is available for private parties, lunches and functions. Afternoon teas with home-made scones and preserves can be enjoyed in the comfort of the lounge or on the spacious lawns.
