Fly fishing tuition, reservoir sailing and horse riding, to activities to suit the most artistic of people such as jewellery making, painting techniques (both oil and watercolour) and rustic furniture making and we are also open to people just looking for an overnight stop to break up long journeys.

The Coach House has tremendous views and a beautiful garden for residents to relax and unwind in. On the east wing of the Coach House there is a cafe open to guests and non-residents, serving delicious, traditional home-cooked food. This peaceful setting and glorious Grade II building are an ideal place to get away from modern life and surround yourself with the natural beauty of Devon.

To help make your stay even more enjoyable the Coach House is run by a warm, friendly and very welcoming family who are happy to try and make every minute of your visit most enjoyable. We are also very child and pet friendly.

Road Directions

From the north, south or east follow the A30 from Exeter, signposted Okehampton. After approx. 9 miles take the left exit for Woodleigh Junction/Cheriton Bishop. The Coach House is on the right towards the village. From the west take the A30 to Exeter, 5 miles after Whiddon Down take Woodleigh Junction exit and follow signs.

Public Transport Directions

From Exeter and Okehampton take the X30 or 173 Stagecoach buses to Cheriton Bishop (Cross/Good Knight) and walk towards Tedburn St Mary/Woodleigh Junction. After approx. 1/4, we're just on the left.
