Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust

The Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust is a registered charity created to work with the pony keepers on Dartmoor to preserve the traditional type of native Dartmoor Pony. The Trust offers a range of services to support and assist the owners of Dartmoor Ponies on the Moor and has created a superb new Visitor Centre at Parke, Bovey Tracey, in partnership with the National Trust. The centre provides information and education for the public about the role of the ponies on Dartmoor, and is a 'showcase' for these ponies. Visitors can interact with ponies and a range of courses for learners of all ages and abilities is available.

The Centre is now established as a unique educational resource for the west of England, using ponies as a platform for learning for young people with a variety of abilities and behavioural issues.
