Dartmoor Inn

There is something quintessentially British about staying at an inn. Often filled with character, heavy in beams and creaky wood floors, they offer comfy, relaxed accommodation, good food, beer and a great location. Dartmoor has many country pubs and village inns to choose from and all offer a unique experience, many with views over the moor and walking right from the doorstep.

You might be looking for the quirky nature of Widecombe-in-the-moor with pixies, myths and legends aplenty. Maybe you are wanting to be away from the crowds with nothing but the moor to disturb your thinking. Or perhaps you want to be in a bustling moorland town, enjoying the people and vibrant atmosphere whilst staying in the utmost comfort. Dartmoor has inns with basic stone floors, good local fayre and simple accommodation; there are inns with sleep inducing sprung beds and feather duvets, cotton bed linen and roll top baths; then there are the gastro pubs with mouth watering local food and luxury bedrooms in which to retire after dinner; there are those sat alone on the moor and those in the thick of the town or village.
