Higher Coombehead House has been nestling on the northern edge of Dartmoor for close to four hundred years. For the last sixteen years Velda Dixon has offered traditional bed and breakfast in a wing of the house which was once a private chapel, ensuring a memorable stay in a charming atmosphere.
The large grounds slope down to woodland and Ted Dixon will be delighted to show you the model railway which runs in the garden; if you happen to be a 16mm enthusiast, bring an engine and have a steam up!
We are situated between the villages of Sticklepath and Belstone where there are cosy pubs offering food.
Higher Coombehead is a good base for walking, riding, cycling and touring. We are within easy distance of the main A30, making a convenient stop over en route to Cornwall.
Please call Velda on 01837 840240.
