Hilly Field Barn

Hilly Field Barn is an old linhay that has been converted to a very high standard at Berrator Cottage, which is just outside Buckland Monachorum. It lies just above the River Tavy and is 7 minutes walk from the very western tip of Dartmoor.

The accommodation consists of one double bedroom with an en suite bathroom. The sitting room, dining area and kitchen are open plan with a 'box room' housing the boiler and central heating system, with plenty of space for drying wet coats, wellies, etc. The kitchen is equipped with a gas cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer and a washing machine.

Dogs are welcomed providing they are well behaved.

Yelverton is very well served with a small supermarket, an excellent butcher, village shop with fresh bread and pasties daily, garage, chemist and post office. Tavistock an ancient Stannary town, is 8 miles away and historic Plymouth, 10 miles.

Buckland Monachorum has a very good pub/restaurant and there are many others in the area. Morwellham Quay, The Garden House gardens, Buckland Abbey and Cotehele are some of the very special places to visit in this area.

Other facilities in the area include golf and fishing, and, of course, walking and cycling are very well catered for with new routes coming on stream regularly, such as Drake's Trails and Route 27.
