Manor Cottage, Dartmoor

Manor Cottage is conveniently situated in the heart of the picturesque and historic village of Widecombe-in-the-Moor, one of the most beautiful and easily accessible villages in this part of Devon.

It is surrounded by Dartmoor's dramatic scenery yet only a short distance from the Devon Expressway (A38), both Exeter and Plymouth being within easy reach.

The house is approximately 200 years old. It is set in nearly 2 acres of land which gives it a feeling of great peace and tranquility, while still being an integral part of the village.

There are a number of small shops selling a variety of gifts and mementos just a few steps up the road. There are also two pubs within very easy walking distance of the cottage.

The Church of St Pancras known as the Cathedral of the Moor is a very special place to visit being steeped in history and legend.

Widecombe is perfectly situated for exploring Dartmoor. Whether walking, riding or touring by car there is always something new and wonderful to be seen in this unique part of England.

In addition to the superb moorland setting of this village it is only a short drive to the south coast towns of Teignmouth and Paignton and all the fascinating coves and bays that make up the English Riviera.

Your hosts Richard Holmes and Diana Cameron offer you a warm welcome to their home.

There are two double rooms with wash basin and a shared bathroom, and one twin bedded room with a private shower. All the rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities.

Packed lunches can be arranged as can a baggage forwarding service should it be required.
