The Edgemoor Country House Hotel
Bovey Tracey
Devon
TQ13 9LE
Tel: 01626 832466
Situated right on the boundary of Dartmoor National Park, this beautiful Victorian country house hotel, built in 1879, was once Bovey Tracey Grammar School.
Boasting an award winning restaurant, having won several rosettes, ribbons and other regional food awards, and an extensive and creative wine list, this privately owned country house is less than three miles from the main A38.
Set in its own grounds of 2.5 acres, it is an idyllic, quiet centre from which to base your stay in Devon, being only twelve miles from Torquay and only a few minutes' drive away from the many famous Tors and villages within Dartmoor.
The mixture of both traditional and contemporary style created by Jan and Mark, the owners, complements the traditional historic Victorian architecture and enhances the warm friendly welcome and attention to details received from the team of thirty or so staff. All rooms, restaurant and lounge are non-smoking and pets are welcome in the woodland wing.
Within easy driving distance from Exeter (14 miles), Plymouth (30 miles) and Newton Abbot (7 miles); The Edgemoor Country House and Restaurant combines traditional hospitality values and great food and wine with an open, warm and welcome reception.
