AwardRoad Directions
From M5 at Exeter take A30 (Okehampton direction). At SOURTON CROSS leave A30 on slip road, signposted A386 TAVISTOCK. At bottom of slip road, turn right and then immediately left (before underpass), signposted BRIDESTOWE & LEWDOWN. Remain on that road, following LEWDOWN signs for 6 miles. When you reach crossroads signposted, CHILLATON (4 miles) turn left.
In Chillaton Village Square keep Pub and Shop on your left, drive up hill towards TAVISTOCK. 300 metres on your right you will see a track signposted “Bridlepath, No Public Vehicular Access”. Drive (slowly - animals) down that lane. Tor Cottage is at the end of the half mile long tree lined track. Pass two dwellings and drive ways on your right and then one dwelling on your left. You will probably think you have gone too far but it is not until you pass through the first five bar gateway that you have reached the surroundings of Tor Cottage which nestles in the valley bottom.
