This unique roundhouse has been tastefully converted to provide two holiday homes, and incorporates many original features such as exposed beams and stonework. Situated in a quiet rural area with wild flower hedgerows in spring/early summer, it offers peace and tranquillity with panoramic views over Dartmoor. It is within 3 miles of the ancient Stannary town of Tavistock which has been awarded Britain's Best Market Town 2005 and best local produce town 2006, The West Country's Best Food Town and Devon's Best Farmers' Market, and has weekly craft and pannier markets as well as more discerning shops including an award-winning cheese shop. In July 2006 The Tamar Valley was designated as part of a World Heritage Site with significant and unique mining history. Within easy reach of Dartmoor for horse riding, walking and the hobby of letter boxing or just discover the beauty of the rugged scenery or quiet valleys. Close to the Tamar Valley, with its mining history portrayed at the living museum of Morwellham Quay, travel through the valley by boat or train. Local ferry rides will take you to Cotehele House (National Trust). There are many other attractions including 3 gardens that have been featured on TV, all within 8 miles, or go further afield to Plymouth with its maritime history and larger stores. North Cornwall, and the infamous Eden Project, are only an hour's drive away.
Each apartment is individually designed, well furnished and equipped and has its own driveway, entrance and private patio areas. Ideal for couples or small groups wanting to holiday together yet still retain some independence. Short breaks welcome. Amenities: both properties have parking for 1 car. Secure storage for cycles.
