Westacott Barton Farm
Enjoy peace and tranquillity at Westacott Barton, a small family run business where a warm welcome awaits you.
Westacott, a thatched Grade II medieval hall house, is surrounded by its own farmland and occupies an elevated position with extensive views towards Dartmoor.
Close to Okehampton and about 25 miles from the M5 and Exeter Airport, Westacott is ideally positioned for touring the whole county. Within easy reach are beaches to the north and south as well as attractions such as Dartmoor, numerous National Trust properties and gardens, Exeter cathedral and much much more.
North Tawton has a variety of shops, pubs, restaurants, post office and banking facilities. Okehampton offers large supermarkets and weekly farmers' market. Golfing, fishing and numerous other activities are all available within easy reach.
Westacott will appeal especially to those seeking peace and tranquillity as well as walkers and nature lovers. Guests are welcome to use Westacott's extensive grounds which are a haven for wildlife and include woodland and an ancient (water filled) quarry. There is a wide variety of wildlife (including nesting birds), plants and trees and many vantage points from which to enjoy the view - or just sit back and relax on the sun trap terrace or by the pond and take in the breathtaking Devon scenery.
